What is English 4U?

English 4U is the largest English school in Houston dedicated to teaching English as a second language, with both in-person and online programs.
Beyond teaching, we build community and create opportunities for the Hispanic population.

Where are the centers located?

We have more than 14 centers across Houston, always seeking to stay close to the community. You can find a location near you or choose our online modality.

Since when has English 4U been operating?

We were founded in 2015 as a community initiative in Sharpstown, and since then we have grown into a network of centers and programs.

What is the mission of English 4U?

Our mission is to open doors and transform lives through English learning in a safe, family-like, and accessible environment.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

What programs do you offer?

We offer three main programs: Face 2 Face (in-person), Online (100% online and live), and Tutoring (personalized one-on-one support).

How long does each course last?

Each level lasts 5 to 6 months. In the online program, we also offer a flexible 3-month format.

What are the course levels?

Our courses follow the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages): A1, A2, B1, B2, C1.

What methodology do you use?

We use the Natural Method combined with the Spiral Learning approach, which ensures progressive and lasting learning.

Do I receive a certificate or diploma at the end?

Yes. Each completed level comes with a diploma and certificate of achievement.

Can I switch from in-person to online classes?

Yes. We always provide flexibility so students can continue their studies without interruption.

How do I enroll?

You can enroll at any center, online through our website, or at community events where we are present.

What is the enrollment fee and monthly tuition?

Enrollment is $90 and tuition is $120 per month. We also offer scholarships and benefits.

Yes, thanks to our open programs you can start whenever you want.

Are scholarships or discounts available?

Yes. We have several scholarships (Lumina 4U, Living Hope, among others) to support specific communities.

What happens if I miss classes?

You don’t lose them. Our teachers help you stay on track, and resources are available online.

TUTORING

Do tutoring sessions have an extra cost?

No, they are completely free for active English 4U students.

What happens in a tutoring session?

Tutoring sessions clarify doubts, reinforce specific topics, and allow personalized practice in 50-minute sessions.

How many tutoring sessions can I take?

They are unlimited, depending on your learning needs.

COMMUNITY AND PARTNERSHIPS

What is Vecinos Latinos?

It’s an open Facebook group where students and the community can exchange services, products, and opportunities.

Do I need to be a student to join the group?

No, the group is open to everyone in the Latino community in Houston.

What is E4U Business?

It is a program designed for companies and workers in industries such as restaurants, construction, and landscaping, offering English for Specific Purposes (ESP) tailored to their needs.

What institutions are you partnered with?

We work with FLAS, DTC Family First, the Consulates of Mexico and El Salvador, City of Houston, Harris County Department of Education, and many others.

What kind of events do you participate in?

We participate in community fairs, festivals, and educational events to promote English learning and connect with families.

What is the difference between in-person and online classes?

In-person classes allow face-to-face interaction, while online classes provide flexibility and access from anywhere in the world. Both share the same academic quality.

Can I take classes if I don’t speak any English at all?

Yes, we offer beginner levels designed for absolute starters.

What happens if I don’t finish a level?

You can continue at your own pace and retake it if necessary.

Is there an age limit to enroll?

No, any adult can enroll regardless of age.

What do I need to bring to class?

Just your study materials, a notebook, and a positive attitude. We’ll provide the rest.
