COMMUNITY & BUSSINES

ENGLISH 4U BUSINESS

The E4U Business program at English 4U is designed to meet the needs of the different industries where the Hispanic community works in Houston: restaurants, construction, landscaping, cleaning, transportation, hotels, and many others.

We know that every industry has its own language and communication demands. That is why we develop customized ESP (English for Specific Purposes) programs for each business. This approach ensures that workers not only learn general English, but also the practical and technical English they need in their immediate work environment.

WHAT IS ESP?

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a teaching approach that focuses on specific communication needs. Unlike general courses, ESP adapts vocabulary, expressions, and practice situations to the professional context of the learner.

  • In restaurants, workers learn English to serve customers, handle menus, and communicate with staff.
  • In construction, the focus is on safety terms, tools, measurements, and team coordination.
  • In landscaping, workers practice vocabulary related to gardening, tools, measurements, and customer service.

This makes the English learned immediately useful, improving business productivity and employee integration.

WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED IN THIS PROGRAM?

The E4U Business program is ideal for:

Business owners and managers who want to improve internal communication and customer service.

Supervisors seeking to train their teams in everyday workplace English.

Hispanic workers who want to learn practical English to feel more confident and advance in their careers.

Companies investing in their employees’ professional growth and in strengthening service quality.

With E4U Business, every company receives a tailor-made program, with dynamic classes focused on the real-life situations their workers face every day.

VECINOS LATINOS

Vecinos Latinos in Houston is an open Facebook group created with the purpose of building community and encouraging the exchange of products and services that benefit the Latino community.

Through this initiative, English 4U seeks to give our students access to better options for services and products, while also allowing them to promote their own businesses and entrepreneurial projects. In this way, learning English is accompanied by the opportunity to grow personally and economically.

THE IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY AND COMMUNITY

We firmly believe that learning English goes hand in hand with building bonds of support and solidarity. That is why Vecinos Latinos is more than just a group: it is a space where collaboration, trust, and a sense of family are cultivated.

By supporting students in promoting their businesses and entrepreneurial efforts, we give them tools to better integrate into life in the United States, strengthening both their economy and that of the entire community.

When one student offers a service and another one hires it, it is not only an economic exchange but also a bond of trust and belonging.

AN OPEN SPACE FOR EVERYONE

Although it was created with the support of English 4U, the group is not exclusive to students. Anyone is welcome to join, as this is a service open to the entire Latino community of Houston.

In Vecinos Latinos, every voice matters, every business has a place, and every neighbor finds support. It is proof that when we come together, we not only learn a language, but we also build bridges, strengthen families, and uplift entire communities.

WHO MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN JOINING AND ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING?

The Vecinos Latinos in Houston group is open to anyone who wishes to be part of a supportive and growing community network. Some of the people who benefit the most from this space include.

(electricians, plumbers, hairstylists,
chefs, landscapers, etc.) who want to
offer their work to a close-knit,
supportive audience.

support local Latino businesses,
thereby strengthening the
community’s economy.

Friends and allies of the Latino
community, even if they are not
students at English 4U, who want to

ENGLISH 4U: A PLACE THAT FEELS LIKE HOME

We know that many people hesitate to study because they have not yet found a school where they feel comfortable and welcome. At English 4U, we are committed to being that place: a warm, accessible, and family-like environment, where learning English is not a source of fear or frustration, but of hope and empowerment.

We provide affordable tuition, locations always close to the community, and a system of scholarships and unique benefits, because we believe English should be accessible to everyone.

At English 4U, we believe that every event is an opportunity to transform lives. When we participate in fairs, festivals, and community gatherings, we don’t just bring information: we bring hope, we open doors, and we plant dreams.

Stop by our booth at the next event. Come, share your goals with us, tell us your fears, and discover how learning English can be the beginning of a different future. Our team will be there to guide you, show you all your study options, and help you take that first step you’ve been postponing.

And if you are a community event organizer, here’s something important: we need you. Invite us to join your community. Together, we can make more people boldly say “Yes to their English classes”, more families find a safe and accessible place to learn, and more Latinos take the leap toward building the life they dream of in this country.

Let’s make sure no one is left behind. Invite us, visit us, and let’s turn English from a barrier into a key to opportunity.
